Reblog this. It’s important to me. Also, any/all donations are very much appreciated. Several of my friends are personally taken care of by the Nashville Cares team, and for that I am forever grateful.

Today is December 1st, World AIDs Day. Today you should be thinking of all of the people that are faced daily with this disease. You should be thinking of yourself and those around you by educating yourself and others. You should be reaching out to the community. You should be getting yourself tested.
Safe sex or not. Tattoos. Blood transfusions. Any form of sex: anal, vaginal, oral. Get yourself tested. Knowing is the first step in controlling. Be aware of your body, your health, and the ones you love. Encourage friends to be educated. Learn about what HIV and AIDs really is. There are resources, locally and nationally, and online. There are websites, hotlines, clinics, and educated people to talk with.
Do a google search. Learn about HIV, AIDs, best safe sex practices, the Trevor Project.
Know that it does get better, but knowing is the first step.
A couple of young men close to my heart live with HIV on a daily basis. They are some of the strongest men I know. I am proud of them, and have learned so much. Thank you.
Have you been tested?
